Smooth & Lovely offers full body waxing with our signature elastic natural hard wax. Brazilian waxing is the #1 requested service!
Established in 2011.
I always knew that I would have a career in the beauty industry. My passion for makeup is what led me to pursue an education in skincare. I attended Ogle and became a licensed Esthetician in 2004. It opened me up to a world of endless beauty services.
I worked freelance and was mobile until the end of 2011 when I leased my first suite at Firewheel Salons in Garland, TX. My studio was called Waxing by Rani.
At the end of 2012, I relocated to the Salons of Dallas at Knox and reopened for business in January 2013 as Smooth & Lovely.
Over the years, my career took me down the path of waxing and Brazilians and Brows soon became my specialty and most requested services.
I built my business on the foundation of only providing the best services using the best products and educating my clients on the importance of an aftercare regimen.
I look forward to meeting you soon!

DO'S AND DON'TS OF WAXING
Do not workout 24 hours before OR after waxing or threading.
Exfoliate area(s) 48-72 hours before AND after your appointment and no sooner.
Do not tan in the bed or direct sunlight 72 hours before OR after your appointment.
Wait 24-48 hours to Spray tan.
Avoid heat, steam, & excessive sweating 24 hours before AND after your appointment.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment for body waxing so your skin is not irritated by clothing that is too tight.
Do not touch the areas waxed or threaded with your hands as doing so can deposit bacteria and germs that can irritate or infect the sensitive skin.
**If you shaved or used Nair/Veet, please grow your hairs out for 2 1/2 - 4 weeks. If your hairs are too short, you will have to reschedule your appointment.**
Drink plenty of water before you come to your appointment, especially in the summer!
Please do not smoke, consume alcohol or caffeine before your session. This will thin the blood and heighten your skin's sensitivity and may also cause unnecessary bleeding and excessive sweating.
Ladies, you CAN wax while on your cycle. Tampons and feminine wipes are provided for your use. However, you will be more sensitive during the entire week of your cycle.
If you are using retinoids, please stop using it 1 week before you get waxed and also wait 1 week after your wax to use the product again.
If you are using Accutane or have used it, you will need to wait 12months after you discontinue using it before you can get waxed.
It is strongly advised that people who have diabetes, chronic kidney or liver disease, skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis avoid waxing.
If you have a compromised or weakened immune system due to an illness, infection, or disease such as the flu, cancer, MRSA(staph) or if you are taking immune suppressing medications or antibiotics, you cannot be waxed due to the high risk of skin removal, extra sensitivity, or spread of infection involved.
You must ALWAYS inform your Esthetician of any changes before your session to avoid possible adverse reactions.
The night before your service, please do the following:
Remove eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara with an oil-free eye makeup remover.
Avoid applying eye creams and face creams near the eyes.
For the extensions to adhere properly to your natural lashes, they need to be clean. I will quickly cleanse your lashes before applying the extensions. If I need to spend extra time cleaning because you have makeup or dirt on your lashes, it will shorten your lash application time.
Before you come to your appointment, please be aware of the following:
This service cannot be rushed. If you are late to your appointment, I will finish the application in the allowed time only.
If your lashes are not clean, the extra time spent cleaning them will take away from the application time.( If you book a 1 hour fill and I spend 30 minutes cleaning, your fill will only be 30 minutes)
You will need to keep your eyes closed for the entirety of the service, so make sure you don’t have any distractions that can interfere with your appointment time.
Cell phones need to be turned OFF or on SILENT.
Every time you open your eyes, you expose your eyes to the adhesive's fumes which can cause sensitivity and irritation. The extensions are applied with tweezers and opening your eyes unexpectedly can also put you at risk of getting poked in the eyes.
Please DO NOT consume caffeine, energy drinks, or alcohol before your session.
Please DO NOT smoke before your session.
You will be given instructions on how to care for your extensions at your appointment.
You will have 48 hours to notify me of any issues and will be given a complimentary follow-up.
After 48 hours, it will be considered a weekly fill.
FILLS
Fills should be booked every 2-4 weeks to maintain a full, flawless look. Every client's lashes are different so fill times will vary from person to person. If you are very active, have oily skin, allergies, or if your lashes grow very quickly, your fill will need to be every 1-2 weeks.
We typically have between 70-150 lashes per eye. Every lash except for baby lashes will be lashed during a full set application.
We naturally lose between 3-5 lashes per day. You will need to book your fills according to your lash cycle, how oily your skin is, and how frequently you work out/sweat.
After 4 weeks or if lash extensions are less than 40% at the time of your appointment, you will need to upgrade your fill to a 2 hr fill.
If you only have a handful to a dozen lashes remaining per eye, you will need to book a Full Set.
If you wait too long between fills, you extensions will grow out and can damage your natural lashes by weighing down on your natural lashes which can cause it to twist, turn, or break off. Please try to keep your fills between 1-4 weeks for best results and for the health of your natural lashes.
Caution
If you have had an eye infection, eye surgery or Lasik surgery within 6 months, it is recommended to get a release form from your physician before getting a tint or extension service.
Avoid:
Going to the sauna or hot yoga for 24 hours.
Touching your lashes. Every time you touch them, you are transferring natural oils and germs which can break down the adhesive.
Washing your lashes:
Use our lash extension cleanser or an oil-free eye makeup remover to keep lashes clean. Make sure your cleanser is eyelash extension safe.
Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your eyes.
Do not wash your eyes in the shower, the water from the shower head can be too strong for your lashes.
Gently pat dry the skin around your eyes with a towel but avoid touching the lashes.
Use a hair dryer on the low setting to dry your lashes.
Do not comb lashes when they are soaking wet.
Comb the lashes with your disposable spoolie or makeup brush. With the spoolie, comb in an upward sweeping motion. Do not comb from the root but from mid to the tip of the lash only. If you’re using a makeup brush, sweep from above and underneath your lashes to dry it.
Do not brush your lashes excessively as doing so will cause premature shedding.
Removing eye makeup:
With a lint free applicator or a dense eye shadow brush, apply the lash cleanser and get close to the lash line to remove eye makeup.
Helpful tips:
Do not perm, tint, or use eyelash curlers.
Do not pull or rub on your lash extensions.
If you choose to wear mascara - only apply to the tips and use water-based mascara that washes off easily.
If you have oily skin or an extra oily T-zone, use oil blotting sheets to absorb excess oils.
Try to sleep on your back to avoid smashing your lashes. If you favor sleeping on one side, you may lose more lashes on that side.
Wear an eye mask to protect lashes.
When using night creams/serums, apply sparingly and blot off any excess around your eyes.
Remember to come in for touch-ups every 2-4 weeks. Your lash extensions will fall out regularly with your natural lashes. The more active you are, the more frequent your fills need to be to maintain your look.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy your lovely lashes!
